Mamma Jamma beginner bike rides continue on

Since Tuesday night, June 21, ABC has been hosting beginner bike rides to help riders get ready for the Mamma Jamma ride on Oct. 1.
The Texas Mamma Jamma Ride is a recreational bike ride to raise much needed funds for our central Texas neighbors coping with breast cancer. This festive event saves and improves lives by supporting 11 LOCAL nonprofit organizations providing diagnosis, counseling, medication, and support for thousands of our neighbors coping with breast cancer. Since our inaugural year in 2009, the Mamma Jamma Ride has raised an astounding $1,000,000!

ABC will continue to host these rides until Sept 27, so come train with us and join the Austin Bike Chix and ride with our team! [or at the very least make a donation! ;-)]

Training Ride Info:
Tuesday Nights starting June 21 - Sept 27
Time: be ready to roll at 6:30 PM
Where: Northwest Park by the pond
Map to NW Park: http://tinyurl.com/NWParkPond

All types of bikes (road, mountain, hybrids) are welcome.
Don't forget to bring your bike, a helmet & water

Why: because biking is fun!
Distance: right now we are riding about 9-12 miles, but will be adding more distance if it ever cools off or as we adjust to the heat.
Any questions, email us; austinbikechix@hotmail.com

And yes, we know it's hot, but the area we ride in is heavily treed (shade!) and we make sure we take water breaks! Bring your swimsuit and jump in the NW pool after the ride!
